If cancer is found treatment will begin. There are two types of therapy that can be used to treat breast cancer. One way is to use local therapy. Local therapy includes treatments such as surgery and radiation to remove or reduce the cancer. Another way is to use systemic therapy. Systemic therapy uses hormones to rid the body of the cancer or to control the cancer through the bloodstream.
Breast cancer is scary, because there are few symptoms and the causes are usually unknown. 50% of all breast cancer cases are unexplainable. During your lifetime you may be diagnosed with breast cancer or you will know someone with breast cancer.
